The West Palm Beach (FL) Chapter of The Links, Inc. is a proud recipient of a Black K.A.R.E. project grant for 2022-2023. Our goal with this new community initiative is to promote kidney health and prevention of chronic kidney disease (CKD). 1 in 3 adults in the U.S. is at risk for kidney disease.
37 million adults in the U.S. have kidney disease, but most of them don’t know it.
Diabetes and high blood pressure are the two leading causes of kidney disease.
Preventing CKD and its complications is possible. Visit the CDC website here to learn more about CKD risk factors and treatment of the disease to slow its progression and reduce the risk of complications.
